Children: Assignment 3

Yup, another one, what does this mean to you?

Deuteronomy 6:7

7Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

                Proverbs 22:6

6Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Deuteronomy 11:19

19Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

                Psalms 145:4

4One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.

                Isaiah 38:19

19The living, the living– they praise you, as I am doing today; fathers tell their children about       Your faithfulness.

                Jeremiah 32:39

39I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and the good of their children after them.

Common Question: Do I tell my kids about God?  Or do I wait until they make the decision on their own?

If you raise your children up to be Godly, then they will turn to God as adults if you support them and do as He says.  Children in the Old Testament were salvation to Godly parents.  How you raise your children is so important to God.  He promises goodness and Godliness to children raised by supportive parents to know Him.  It doesn’t take brainwashing or drugs to get children to behave or grow into adults that know right from wrong.  Anyone telling you different is selling you something dark and perverse.
